1) 1er GRAND CRU CLASSE A (Cuvee Paulliac 1) 16 JEAR BRUICHLADDICH 46% alc;/vol.

The name of the Baron De Rothschild's Chateau, the finest wine estate in the world, comes from the Gascon term "La Hite", meaning a "Hillock". It's supreme finesse and elegance was recognised in Richelieu's glowing recommendation to Louis XV : "Does his Majesty not yet known that I've at long last found the fountain of Youth ? I have found that Chateau Lafite wines make invigorating cordials : they are as delicious as the Ambrosia of The Gods of Olympus". Extraordinary attention to detail at The Chateau means only, the very best Oak is used for their home-coopered Casks ; here adding subtle nuances to our Classic Bruichladdich 16.

Details : zware vettige beenstructuur
Reuk : licht exotisch fruit, honingachtig, ester.
Smaak : licht prikkelende peper, vanille, beetje zurig, zoutige droge afsmaak, zilt eindigend.

2) 1er GRAND CRU CLASSE B (Cuvee Paulliac 2) 16 JEAR BRUICHLADDICH 46% alc;/vol.

The fortified town of Saint-Lambert was built in 1331 to guard the Gironde Estuary from the British during the Hundred Year War. The Chateau Of "La Tour" was built close by some 40 years later, paradoxically, it was in Britain that the wine established its success before falling to British ownership in 1963. This is a uniquely Cabarnet Sauvignon Terrior ; this wine takes the best out the poor gravel soil, making broodingly concentrated, deep - coloured and powerfully - structured claret - ideal for extraordinary longevity. Now French-owned by one of the world's richest men, so only the very best Casks are used.

Details : lichte beenstructuur
Reuk : peperig, zeer kruidig
Smaak : houterig, prikkel, minder fruitig, bitter, aperitief whisky, zeer lichte afdronk.

3) 1er GRAND CRU CLASSE C (Cuvee Meraux) 16 JEAR BRUICHLADDICH 46% alc;/vol.

In country as flat and often marshy as the The Medoc, the slightest "Motte", or rise stands out clearly from the Low-Lying ground. The greatest wines are produced on these best-drained areas. The wine's of "La Motte de Margeaux" as it was originally known, were a favourite of the British Prime Minister, Sir Robert Walpole, who brought four Casks every three months. Fiat family Money and Greek shipping dynamism turned these sensual wine into one of the world's greatest. Corinne's attention to detail is everything-down to the very origin of the Oak for these sensational Casks.

Details : vettige beenstructuur
Reuk : zeer lichte turf, duf hout
Smaak : zoetig, korte afdronk

4) 1er GRAND CRU CLASSE D (Cuvee Pessac-Leognan) 16 JEAR BRUICHLADDICH 46% alc;/vol.

While visiting the Royal Oak tavern in London on April 10, 1663, Samuel Pepys wrote : "There I drank a sort of French wine called Ho-Brian (sic) which hath a good and most particular taste which I never before encountered". And it became the first recorded first growth to be imported to the United States when Thomas Jefferson purchased six classes for his cellar in Virginia. More recently, a Texan Clarence Dillon was so equally impressed with the great wine that he bought the estate in 1935. Today his great Grandison Prince Robert of Luxembourg, runs the show. American flair and no-nonsense. Professionalism mean only the very finest Oak is used, coopered on the estate itself.

Detail : lichte beenstructuur
Reuk : asse-achtige reuk
Smaak : zoet hout, peer, jarbezen, pruimen, afdronk lang en zacht.

5) 1er GRAND CRU CLASSE E (Cuvee Sauternes) 16 JEAR BRUICHLADDICH 46% alc;/vol.

Since 1593, records show that an ethereal sweet wine has been produced in Sauternes. The Comte de Lur Saluces won The Chateau by marriage in 1785 and development is fame as far as Russia where the Tsar's brother paid 20,000 gold Francs for a single bottle. For it is laboriously made from individually handpicked Semillon and Sauvignon grape berries, selected for their raisin-rich sugars, concentrated by "Noble Rot". Eccentric, cash-strapped nobility was finally overcome by Arnault's considerable new money. That money buys only the finest forests and the greatest Tonnoliers. Corinne's attention to detail is everything-ideal for our sweet 16.

Detail : lichte beenstructuur
Reuk : zoet, houterig, rijpe bananen, sterke geur
Smaak : peerachtig, volgens enkele minder goed in smaak

6) 1er GRAND CRU CLASSE F (Cuvee Pomerol) 16 JEAR BRUICHLADDICH 46% alc;/vol.

Compared to the impressive Chateau of The Medoc- its ancient nobility, wealth and modern corporate money, Pomerol is a quiet black water, and our Cuvee "F" more of a ramshackle farmhouse than a Grand Chateau. In 1855 it did not merit classification, it avoids it even today. Yet back then first growth status was gained by outrich quality, itself reflected in the price commanded in the market place. On that basis, style and Jaqou's mythical wine, famed for its exotic and floral bouquet (coming from an equal proportion of Cabernet France and Merlot), truly merits first growth status. Now a pare amount of this exquisite wine is made under the family motto ; "Qualite Pase Quantite".

Detail : lichte beenstructuur
Reuk : zoet, fruitig
Smaak : noten, swish-roulade, donky-cake (chocolade)
